RESOURCES
Wild Butterfly’s Resources have been written for educators and professionals.
The resources aim to provide an understanding of the links between child sexual abuse, trauma, mental health and alcohol and other drug use. They explore issues of stigma and discrimination towards people affected by drug use and the impact on families and significant others.
‘The film Wild Butterfly is a moving and powerful resource for teaching students about the importance of Trauma Informed Journalism…Teaching students the theory and concepts of Trauma Informed Journalism is useful, but it is not until you couple these concepts with real life stories, like the story told in Wild Butterfly, that the concepts embed to have a lasting impact on future journalists.’
